Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are all set for their first-ever collaboration. They will be seen sharing the screen space in the upcoming movie, Gully Boy. The musical drama has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and is set to hit the screens on 14 February, 2019. Ranveer and Alia on Wednesday took to their respective Twitter handles to reveal their respective looks in the underdog tale.

In the first look poster, Alia and Ranveer can be seen seated next to each other while they share an earphone to listen to the music. Both the actors can be seen in a no-glam and intense look in the film poster. The tagline of the poster read: "Apna Time Ayega". Sharing the poster, Ranveer wrote, ''#GullyBoy #14thFeb.''

In the film, Ranveer plays a street rapper, who beats all odds to become famous. Nothing much has been revealed about Alia’s character as of now.

Take a look at the posters:

Earlier on Tuesday, Alia Bhatt had shared the first poster of the movie which had Ranveer’s back facing the camera and the lyrics of rap written all over it. “Apna Time Aayega! #GullyBoy #14thFeb #2019,” she captioned the poster.

Recently in an interview with indianexpress.com, Ranveer shared that he would have been extremely jealous if Gully Boy starred anyone apart from him. “I swear, if there was any other actor in this teaser and it wasn’t me, I would have been burnt to a crisp. I’d be so jealous. It is Mumbai. It’s hip-hop. It is me! (laughs),” he had said.

Before releasing in India, the film will be premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held between February 7 and February 17. Apart from Alia and Ranveer, the movie also stars Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz, Amruta Subhash, and Vijay Verma.

Gully Boy is based on the life story of street rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy who are known for their song Mere Gully Mein.

Ranveer and Alia will also be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial, Takht. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles.
