The trailer of the much awaited 'Half Girlfriend' was unveiled on April 10, starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor for the first time. The movie is originally adapted from Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.
At the trailer launch event, Arjun got candid about relationship matters and made a few revelations which indeed, one should know.
While sharing his experience of heartbreak, the actor confessed, “I was with someone before and I thought I’ll officially ask her out, but on the same day, we met at a party and she came with a guy. I thought it would be her brother, but she said, ‘Meet him, he’s my boyfriend. He just asked me out.’ She is now married and in England.”
Further, the actor went on to clear the airs about pre-conceived notions of typical Indian family. He says "I haven't sat down with my family to discuss things beyond a point, because they have faith in me. But I think I may be one of the lucky few. Growing up in a city like Mumbai, the mindset of the family is also slightly different. In India as a whole, parents have a certain reservation because they would like their children to find the correct partner and stick and stand by the person."

When asked about the choice of his parents he says "My family has implicit faith in me, that eventually whoever I choose, whenever I choose, I'll choose the right girl for the right reasons. We haven't really discussed this at home but I am fairly certain about my family being respectful to my choice and trusting, believing me, that I am making the right decision."
Also, he adds "A family is eventually selfless. They want your happiness first. So if I am happy, they will be happy."
The trailer already took the internet by storm and now the anticipation for the movie has increased. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie is scheduled to release on May 19.
