Happy Birthday Arijit Singh: From Fame Gurukul to ultimate fame

Star playback singer Arijit Singh is celebrating his 29^th birthday today. The mega singing star has been able to create a niche for him in the Bollywood industry. The versatile singer and music composer made a strong name with 2013 hit Ashiqui 2.

The popular singer has earned 23 awards from 70 nominations.

Arijit had first appeared in the reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005, but he lost in the finals. After this, he went on to participate in another reality show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil where he won.

Arijit Singh built a recording setup of his own, beginning his journey with music programming and after that there was no looking back. 

He received most awards and nominations for the song “Tum Hi Ho” in Aashiqui 2 (2013). After this, Arijit bagged nine awards from 10 nominations for this song. Apart from this, ‘Samjhawan’ (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania), ‘Muskurane’ (CityLights), ‘Mast Magan’ (2 States), ‘Gerua’ (Dilwale) are some of hits in recent times.
