It was after a long wait that a Sanjay Dutt movie hit the theatres.Â
Touted as his comeback film, Bhoomi did not open with the kind of response as was expected and recorded an opening of a modest Rs 2.2 crore. Set in Agra, Bhoomi is an emotional action thriller that follows the father-daughter relationship.Â
Apart from Sanjay Dutt, who plays a shoe-seller, the movie stars Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead role while Sharad Kelkar plays the antagonist. Shekhar Suman and Sidhant Gupta appear in supporting but notable roles.Â
Directed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi swings between revenge drama and emotional play. Balancing the tearful scenes are power-packed stunts and fight scenes.
The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar and the background score is given by Ismail Darbar. The song 'Lag ja gale' sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan features the historic Taj Mahal and other famous locales of Agra.Â
Trippy Trippy, the item number featuring Sunny Leone is already doing wonders on the charts.
