Hindi Medium: Irfan Khan and Saba Qamar's role to be replaced by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the comedy sequel?

Hindi Medium which saw Irfan Khan and Saba Qamar as their lead roles is likely getting a sequel. But, as per gossips the comedy-drama of 2017 which garnered a huge positive response from moviegoers and critic alike might not see Irfan and Saba in their respective roles. Following the massive success both of the ratings and the box office, there have been long speculations of talks for the next comedy sequel. This new surfacing gossip, however, highlights that the Saket Chaudhary movie which had Irfan and Saba as their lead roles will be replaced by Bollywood’s favourite onscreen couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. 

Since quite some time, speculations were rife that the makers are planning the film's sequel. Rumours afloat that the makers of the movie had gone abroad to meet Irfan for the same and that they have started their initial script reading sessions. It was also stated that Irfan Irfan Khan himself had approached Kedarnath star, Sara Ali Khan to play his daughter.

However, following Irfan Khan’s declining health in July, the news of Hindi Medium sequel had come to a halt after he stated that he will be staying away from films at the moment. Until Now, with news of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol resurfaced for the comedy sequel.

Given their unfathomable onscreen chemistry in Bollywood classics such as DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hai, it is indisputable that King Khan and Kajol does make one of Bollywood’s finest pair.
