This Diwali is going to be an exciting one for the movie buffs as options are galore with three big films clashing at the box-office and all being family entertainers.
Besides a high-budget multi-starrer such as Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made in China are also eying huge revenue enchashing on the celebrations and splurging that the festival of lights brings with it.
As all the three teams rush to one event after another for promotions, trade analysts give an estimate about how the three movies will fare at the box office in its opening weekend.
As per Trade Expert Sumit Kadel, Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy's film is not making much headway in terms of gaining much screens and shows at the theatres. He believes the film might not go beyond first Monday.
I have repeatedly said that #Dhanteras is like a double working day & it’s clearly visible on Advance booking sale of tomorrow releases. #Housefull4 advance is lower than expected considering pre-diwali also. #SaandhKiAankh & #MadeinChina advance is extremely poor

This date is very risky because if any film reports turns out to be bad or average then it will reflect on its monday collection. 3 days are enough for the word of mouth to spread like a fire.

According to trade analyst Komal Nahta, As all the three movies are opening pre-Diwali, weekends might not prove to be profitable at the Box Office as the Diwali falls at the end of the weekend. However a whopping Rs 25 crore opening day collection is expected from the Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4.
The analyst also mentioned how distributors are in a fix over how to accommodate shows all the production houses are trying their best to get the maximum number of screens and shows.

Meanwhile the initial reviews of both Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh are good and we have to wait to known if word of mouth can overpower star power.
Meanwhile, last year’s Diwali saw the release of the Yash Raj Films’ mega action-adventure film Thugs of Hindostan, that starred Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. The film turned out to be a damp squib at the box office. Marred by negative word of mouth, it could not go beyond a lifetime collection of Rs 151.19 crore.
