Karan Johar reacts to Prabal Gurung's cryptic message on his birthday

New Delhi:

Bollywood faternity celebrated Karn Johar's birthday with great pomp. The ace director has been mentor to many celebrity starlets who took their turn to post heart felting posts on their social media accounts. 

The Dharma Productions scion who is known for his larger-than-life work in Bollywood through his films, was in New York City to spend time with his friends that included Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor who are there for some months now for the formers treatment. The trio was joined by fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Prabal Gurung.

International designer Prabal Gurung, who who became a prominent face in Indian fashion circle after designing Deepika Padukone’s 2017 Met Gala gown, shared a special post. Posing with Karan on a staircase, the fashionista wrote, “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Happy birthday KJo.”

The cryptic caption along with the location mentioned in the post attacked much attentions and follwers went bersek over if it meant something about his relationship status. However, soon Karan's caption silnces all such speculations as he referred prabal to Bhaiyaa and commented, ;Karan’s reaction to the picture is even more hilarious. The filmmaker wrote, “Control yourself bhaiya!”

On the work front, Karan’s Dharma Productions will soon release Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Good News. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is schedules for the summers of 2020 and Sushant Singh Rajput’s Drive, will also be produced under the filmmaker’s banner.

Returning to direction after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Karan will be seen in Takht which slated to release in 2020. Touted as a period drama, the movie will feature Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
