Hrithik Roshan has been the face of period dramas from Jodha Akbar to Mohendodaro and has potrayed every role as he has owned it. As the actor is reading scripts for his upcoming movie after the Box office sucess of Super30 and upcoming War, buzz is a mythological character is up his sleeves.
According to reports of Fimfare, Hrithik Roshan has been approached for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana for the titular role of lord Rama and the actor has already given a nod.
There hasn't been any official announcement from the makers of Hrithik Roshan yet. Interestingly, reports earlier also suggested that Madhu Mantena has been insisting on casting Deepika Padukone as Sita
Meanwhile, Nitesh will co-direct the movie with MOM director, Ravi Udyawar. An estimated budget of Rs 500 crore has been fixed for the live-action trilogy that will be shot in 3D. The movie will be released in three parts. The film will be produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra.
Ramayana will be made with actors from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi films as the makers are targeting pan-India as well as the global audience.
It seems to be a time when mythological dramas are becoming a trend considering we had also heard that Aamir was planning to star in a film adaptation of Mahabharata.
It will be interesting to see how Hrithik changes his image from being a superhero in Krrish to becoming a mythological hero in this film.
