After Bollywood’s Queen Kangana Ranaut spoke out against sexual harassment at the hands of Queen director Vikas Bahl of harassing her on the sets of Queen in 2014, Hrithik Roshan has joined the bandwagon of her supporters.
Hrithik Roshan, who is currently shooting for his upcoming flick Super 30 directed by Vikas Bahl, has allegedly stepped down from the project after reports of the director's involvement in sexual harassment surfaced. Hrithik is the latest celebrity to come out in support of the accusations on the director Vikas Bahl.
Responding to the allegations against the director, Hrithik shared a post on his social media handle saying that It’s difficult for him to work with a director who’s deep in mud for sexual misconduct against women in the Industry. He refuses to maintain silence on such incidences and demanded a stern action at the hands of Super 30’s producers. Here’s the post shared by the actor:
Hrithik stars in Bahl's next movie, Super 30, which will see him play the role of Anand Kumar, the mathematician genius.
Film director Hansal Mehta was amongst the first to tweet that people working on films with such "creeps" are equally to be blamed for they encourage such men.
After Hansal Mehta, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bhal’s former partner at Phantom Company, which has now been dissolved, also admitted to have known about his conduct with the employees and apologised for not taking an appropriate action at the given time.
India's MeToo movement has finally got momentum and with more names being added to the list, it remains to be seen how many more dirty laundry will be out from the closet.
