Here's the REAL reason behind Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan's divorce

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, who was once known as the perfect couple in tinselvile, had left their fans stunned when they announced their separation in 2014 after being together for 17 years.

Indeed, speculations went rife about the reason behind Hrithik-Sussanne's divorce, it was reported that Hrithik's philandering and Sussanne's closeness to Arjun Rampal led the couple part ways.

However, the couple chose to maintain a dignified silence on their divorce. But Sussanne has finally revealed the real reason behind her split with the Greek God of Bollywood.

During her interview with Femina, Sussanne revealed, "We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it's better we weren't together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends)."

Interestingly, despite divorce, the ex-couple has maintained cordial terms and are often seen spending quality time with their sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

"We do chat a lot even though we don't hangout together anymore. But above all, we are very committed to our children. We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it's important to put our differences aside and protect them," Sussanne added.

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan will be next seen in Vikas Bahl's upcoming directorial Super 30 which is a biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar.
