Huma Qureshi is all set to make her debut in the web space with a Netflix original titled Leila. The first look of the series was unveiled yesterday and the actress threw a party for her industry friends at a popular restaurant in Mumbai.
Celebs who made it to the bash were Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Arjun and Malaika Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Bobby Deol, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Ekta Kapoor among others.
Huma earlier in an interview said that she dedicated six months for the series and used to shoot for 14 to 16 hours at a stretch.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mehta, Leila is a part of a slate of 17 original made-in-Asia shows announced by Netflix at a conference in Singapore last year. Adapted from a novel of the same name, the series is set tells the story of a mother's search for her daughter, from whom she was separated 16 years ago.  Shalini deals with various hardships in the course of her search, in a story of longing, faith and loss.
News18 reported, talking about her role Huma said, "Qureshi said, “Leila has been a fantastic project to work on. I’m thrilled to be essaying Shalini, whose unique mix of strength, grace and optimism is what gets her through all kinds of obstacles. So it really has been an honour to portray a character that has not only pushed me as an artist but I believe will resonate with a lot of young women. It is unlike anything I have done before.â€
Leila also stars Siddharth, Rahul Khanna, Sanjay Suri and Arif Zakaria in pivotal roles. Netflix announced that Leila will launch worldwide on June 14
