New Delhi:

Sara Ali Khan is coming back to theatres after a year of her Bollywood debut with Love Aaj Kal. As soon as the trailer had hit internet netizens cannot help but compare it with the original film of the same name starring Saif Ali khan and Deepika Padukone considering both the films deals with the same subject of change in relationship dynamics over decades.  Now  the actress had opened up about the comparison and pressure on her to live up to expectations.

Responding to the reports of Love Aaj kal being a sequel or a remake of the original film with a different star cast, Sara said "We haven't made a sequel of Love Aaj Kal (of 2009). Our film represents how young people love each other in today's time. I think my father, Deepika (Padukone), Imtiaz (Ali) sir and Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan) made a fantastic film in 2009 about how people used to love each other back then. Now, we have made the same effort, so there might be a comparison," the young actress said.

Talking about Kartik getting into Saif’ shoes and she into Deepika Padkone’s she added: "I don't think Kartik has tried to play my father's character or I have tried to play Deepika's character. I think we are all individually telling a new story with different characters. Our film's story and characters are different, and I feel today the definition of love is different. So, I feel we all have come together to showcase that. Comparisons that are not really necessary will, I guess, continue because that's what thrives here (the film industry)."

Saif meanwhile sharing opinion about the Love Aaj Kal trailer said, “"I still remember shooting for Love Aaj Kal" and then confessed: "I kind of liked my trailer more. So... uh... what to say. But I wish them all the best."

Meanwhile taking a subtle jibe on the constant attacks on star kids fer being the privileged kind, Sara revealed that she will continue to be Saif’s daughter and will not shy away from that tag.  "Honestly, I am still Saif Ali Khan's child and that will never change. It (being Saif's daughter) is a tag I am proud of, so if it (the tag) exists, it is fine. If people like my work then it is a good thing. I hope that I get the opportunities to prove myself," said Sara.

Opening up about comparisions with other star kids like Janhvi Kapoor, Annaya Panday, Sara opined that she thinks they three are very different as people, as actors and in general. So there’s no point in comparing the trio.

Love Aaj Kal is set to hit the screens on Valentine's Day. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Imtiaz Ali and presented by Jio Studios, Dinesh Vijan and Reliance Entertainment.
