Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is currently busy with his upcoming flick ‘Bhoomi’ delivered some life lessons at an event in Delhi. He was speaking on the topic ‘Living on the edge: Youth is not for wasting’.
Son of the late veteran actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Sanjay was once addicted to drugs and went to rehab and served a jail term in connection to illegal possession of arms related to 1993 Mumbai blasts.
Speaking upon his upbringing, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ star said, "My father raised us as normal children. I was sent to a boarding school... I went through the grind. And I am the same way with my children’’.
He further added, "I try to teach them the values of life, give them 'sanskaar', and teach them (that) respect for elders is very important even if they are your servants... And that you've got to value life. I only pray my son is not like me. Because what my dad went through, I don't want to go through that’’.
A last, Sanjay Dutt advised the young generation to always listen to your parents and never keep any company which is bad for you. He also said that after complete treatment he saw his life complete different from the past and urged youth to please stay high on life, family and work.
The ‘Vaastav’ star is married to Manyata Dutt and is a dad of three – a son Shahraan and two daughters Trishala and Iqra.
