Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is trying to hold his own personality

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has joined the campaign of Global Citizen initiative to support causes like education and gender equality, says he is trying to hold his own personality among the young Bollywood stars, who have also come forward to become its part.

Besides Bachchan, stars like Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan support this initiative, and many of these actors will be performing with British band Coldplay in November as a part of the campaign.

The 73-year-old actor said he might be old as compared to the other stars but he will do the best he can.

“The future, the present, the carrying forward and the thrust of will to move this campaign forward centred around the youth and the young... which I might add was a bit disturbing for the aged old man, trying to hold his own amongst a stronghold of the young!!!” he wrote on his blog.

The “Piku” star said he will work towards the expansion of this campaign in the country, hoping that it should not run for too long time as the actor is old and wants to see India get rid of poverty, illiteracy and inequality in his lifetime.

“It was a rewarding experience... And we shall be working toward its building and expanse... Expanse? They talked about efforts that should be made for the future 15 years to come...

“Which kind of excluded me from it altogether... 15 years and if it is willed I should be well into what, 90 years...that is a tall order... 90... It shall not happen this far...,” he wrote.
