In Pics: Ranveer Singh is eerily similar to Kapil Dev in '83; first look OUT

New Delhi:

Ranveer Singh turned 34 today and on the occasion his birthday the actor treated its magnanimous fan base with the first look of his highly ambitious movie '83' where he essays Kapil Dev. 

Ranveer Singh  donning white tees and tossing a cricket ball looks every bit magnetic , a splitting image of Kapil Dev during India's World Cup victory at the 1983 World Cup. Calling the cricket legend as Hurriyana Hurricana, Ranveer captioned the pic as "On my special day, here’s presenting THE HARYANA HURRICANE 🌪 KAPIL DEV" 

 

Wait is over and Ranveer shared a glimpse of himself stepping into the shoes of the Indian cricketer who led Team India to World Cup victory in 1983. 

Ranveer is currently in the UK for the shoot of the film with Deepika Padukone. The film will star Ranveer as Kapil Dev while Deepika will be seen stepping into the shoes of his on screen wife, Romi Dev.

A while back, Ranveer had shared a video in which he was seen practising with the team of '83 to fit the shoes of the legendary cricketer. 

Ranveer has spent much time with Kapil Dev at his house in New Delhi for 10 days to get into the skin of the character to know how he is in personal life. 
Tracing the historic victory of 1983 world cup, Kabir Khan’s upcoming directorial is being presented by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment and will star Ranveer Singh as the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team Kapil Dev.
Touted to be the “biggest sports film” of the country, ‘83 is slated to hit the screens on 10 April, 2020 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It marks the first-ever trilingual release for both, Ranveer Singh and director Kabir Khan.
