Bollywood film director Vishal Bhardwaj on Monday shared latest updates on Irrfan Khan’s health. Bhardwaj said that Irrfan, who is currently undergoing treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in London, was recovering and expressed hopes that he will return to India soon.
“Irrfan is in touch with me. I keep talking to him. He is recovering. Our prayers and wishes are with him and we hope he recovers soon and will return soon,” Bhardwaj told reporters at the launch of Hariharan’s song ‘Afsaane’.
Bhardwaj, who had worked with Irrfan in several hit films like “Maqbool” and “Haider”, revealed what the actor do nowadays to spend his time in the hospital.
“He sings these days and records songs and sends it via WhatsApp. He sings lullabies and watches cricket,” the director said.
Bhardwaj had announced another film with Irrfan and Deepika Padukone before the actor fell ill. However, he said he hopes to begin the film soon.
Recently, Irrfan Khan had changed his Twitter profile picture which also gives a little insight into what's going in the actor's life. It seemed that Irrfan had lost several kgs as he looked very thin in the picture.
Earlier, the ‘Life of Pi’ actor had shared his dreadful experience of battling with a life-threatening disease. Sharing a news article on his Twitter that carries his letter from the hospital, Irrfan said the sudden diagnosis of rare cancer made him release the magical side of life and the realisation made him surrender himself irrespective of the outcome.
