Last March, Irrfan Khan left the entire nation in shock when he shared that he has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer. The actor went to London for his treatment and had visited India in November to celebrate Diwali with his family. Now as per a report in Pinkvilla, the actor is back in town and is undergoing medical treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai's Andheri area.

The reports further suggest that the actor is also planning to take a quick trip to Tonk as he hails from there. He will reportedly begin the shoot of Hindi Medium 2 soon. The film is a sequel to the 2017-released Hindi Medium. The film also starred Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal and Dishita Sehgal in pivotal roles. The filming on the sequel was scheduled to begin in August last year. However, Irrfan’s treatment in the US caused the delay.

Irrfan sent a major wave of shock amongst all his friends and fans when he disclosed about his neuroendocrine tumour diagnosis. The actor had shared the grim news through a statement, "Learning that I am suffering from NeuroEndocrine Tumour has been tough but the love and strength of people around me have brought me to a place of hope."

Speaking about the repercussions of suffering from the disease, the actor had shared, ''It has put me in a rapture state. Initially, I was shaken. I didn't know. I was very, very vulnerable. But slowly, there is another way to look at things that is much more powerful and much more productive and much more healthy and I just want people to believe that nature is much more trustworthy and one must trust that.''

Irrfan was last seen in the film Karwaan alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar.
