The scheduled release of actor Irrfan Khan’s upcoming movie, “Madaari” has been deferred by almost a month to July 15.
The Nishikant Kamat directed film was earlier supposed to hit the screens on June 10.
“As the director of this film, I want complete justice to be done to the subject of the movie. Hence I am convinced with the producer’s decision of postponing the release date,” Kamat said in a statement.
The “Piku” actor, who has also produced the film, says he is in “agreement” with the decision of pushing the release date by almost a month.
“I am in agreement with the decision of the makers to change the release date of Madaari,” Irrfan said.
The movie is inspired from several true life incidents. It also stars Jimmy Shergill.
