Renowned filmmaker Neeraj Pandey has quashed the reports of his upcoming 'Crack' starring Akshay Kumar being shelved.
The director has revealed that the movie will hit the floors once the script is done.
“We are working on the script of ‘Crack’ right now. Once the script is ready we will begin (shoot),” Neeraj was quoted as saying.
Interestingly, Akshay had announced his next project with Neeraj Pandey in August last year.
The 'Rustom' actor had even shared a teaser poster of 'Crack' on micro-blogging site Twitter saying that the movie will release on Independence day this year.

However, the movie got delayed due to certain reasons after which there were reports that 'Crack' has been shelved.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar too has refuted the reports of 'Crack' being shelved. He stated the movie will surely happen.
Interestingly, 'Crack' will be Neeraj and Akshay's fourth project. The actor-director duo had earlier collaborated for 2015 release 'Baby' and 'Special 26'. Neeraj was also one of the producers of 'Rustom'.
Besides, Akshay also plays a guest appearance in Pandey' upcoming production 'Naam Shabana' which happens to the prequel of 'Baby'.
In fact, Neeraj has even dropped hints about a sequel to 'Baby', saying, “We are working. We will have a gap between the two films (referring to Baby and Baby 2). Maybe it will take some more time (to go on floors).”
Currently, Neeraj Pandey is all excited about 'Naam Shabana' starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It is scheduled to release on March 31 this year.
