Shah Rukh Khan has been an all weather friend for choreographer turned director Farah Khan and almost all her movies that featured the actor has done decent business on the box office. The filmmaker is next gearing up for her musical actioner inspired from Hindi Cinema of 70's and 80's and has got the god of action comedy, Rohit Shetty on board as a producer.
Although Farah is yet to make any annocement about the cast of the movie, rumours are rife that Shah Rukh is one of the contenders. When quizzed about the status of the movie she left subtle hints for the same.
“We have finished most of the scripting and have a month more to go and then we will start casting. We are having fun. It’s a full fledged musical with action in it. It’s my movie and then Rohit’s movie. So, you know what to expect,” she told news agency IANS in a recent interaction.
When asked about her plans to cast good friend Shah Rukh, she said
“I love Shah Rukh. I love working with him. But as of now we first want to do the dialogue draft and everything and then go on to the next step,” she said on being asked about the same.
At a time when SRK is going through a dismal phase in his film career and is yet to sign the dotted line for any film, question becomes even more pertinent if she he will choose his old success mantra or take plunge with a new director again.
Meanwhile Shah Rukh at a film festival in China said that he will take a few more months to announce his upcoming film.
