Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are all set to tie the knot in April and now it looks like the couple is engaged. On Saturday, the actress took to her Instagram stories to flaunt a diamond-studded ring. In the boomerang video, Richa can be seen wearing two rings, one with a large diamond in the center and another one with two diamonds.
Meanwhile around the same time, Ali Fazal also shared a selfie in a suited avatar on his account. Needless to say, Richa Chadha's Instagram story has sent the Internet into a tizzy.
Richa and Ali revealed that they have applied for registering their marriage to the court and received a date in April with a three-month window. The couple's spokesperson told news agency IANS in a statement: "Currently, only the date for the registration has been taken. By process the window that is valid is for three months from the date that has been allotted. The couple are working towards an official registration in the last week of April, post which the celebrations will follow. All we can say is that it's a happy occasion and all the parties involved are elated."
The two made their relationship public by appearing together at the 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017. Ali Fazal and Richa have worked together in two films Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017). Earlier when Richa was asked about her marriage plans with Ali Fazal, she had said, "Planning our marriage will require a production team. Ali will have to bring in his team and I will have to rope in mine because we’re both busy and at times, not even in the same time-zone. These days, he barely gets five days in a month to himself. It’s not like we are afraid to commit, but we have not had the time to even meet each other properly."
On the work front, Ali Fazal was last seen in Sanjay Dutt's production Prassthanam. He will be next seen in Death on the Nile with Gal Gadot and Letitia Wright amongst others. Richa, on the other hand, was last seen in Ashwini Iyer Tiwary's Panga with Kangana Ranaut. She will also be seen in Shakeela, a biopic of the famous South film actress.
