Popular comedian Sunil Grover's Kanpur Wale Khuranas is all set to go off-air. And the reason is not the ratings or constant comparison of his show with the Kapil Sharma’s show. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sunil revealed the real reason behind this decision. He revealed, "It is because of me. I had signed the show for 8 weeks ONLY because my dates were locked for Bharat (Salman Khan's film), the movie. I had made this clear even during the press conference and interviews that I could only accommodate this much time. I am kickstarting the last leg of shoot for Bharat from today, and I just want to thank the team who made this show happen including the channel and the guests who accommodated dates because of my schedule."
‘'Many stars came earlier then they started promotions because I had limited days. It is a month and a half schedule for Bharat, hence we shot the 8 weeks show in the span of one month. I was missing television and hence I took up this show in between, when I had the month gap. I respect and have deepest gratitude for the people who liked it and who commented and congratulated me. The purpose is simple, it is to make people laugh, he added.
Now as per a report in IBT, the ace comedian might join Kapil Sharma's show once he wraps up Salman Khan's Bharat. Over the time, Kapil and Sunil have buried the hatchet. He had also extended personal invites to Sunil for his wedding, but he couldn't attend due to prior work commitments. Sunil had later congratulated the couple on social media.
Recently, Sunil also wished Kapil’s mom on her birthday. In response to Sunil’s message, Kapil extended his love and best wishes to him. He wrote, ''Thank u paji. love n best wishes always.''
We wonder if Sunil would take the plunge once again?
