Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday roped in for Ali Abbas Zafar’s romantic film?

Bollywood newbies Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday will collaborate in Ali Abbas Zafar’s debut as a producer. The two will be seen romancing each other in the rom-com. A source said, “Since the Maximum City-centric film is a fresh take on the romantic genre and revolves around young people, Ali was keen to cast actors who are a big draw with youngsters. Both Ishaan and Ananya have impressed with their first films but have not worked together so it’s a new jodi as well."

The source further added, "But he feels this is the best subject and genre for him to turn producer. Being a writer himself, he has been involved throughout the scripting process."

Ishaan Khatter made his debut in the film industry with Majid Majidi's 'Beyond The Clouds'. Next, he was seen in Karan Johar’s Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Speaking of Ananya, she made her debut in Bollywood with 'Student Of The Year 2' alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. However, the film did not generate any buzz among the audience and did a decent performance at the box-office.

The actress is currently shooting for her next, the official remake of the 70s cult classic 'Pati Patni Aur Woh'. The film also features Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is scheduled for release on December 6, 2019.
