Varun Dhawan has always managed to grab the limelight for his relationship with childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal. From lunch dates to exotic holidays – the lovebirds have been often spotted hanging out together. Since the last couple of months, rumours of them tying the knot have been making the headlines. Now, the latest reports claim that the couple had a close-knit roka ceremony on Wednesday.
However, the actor has refuted the reports and clarified that it was a birthday party. Varun took to Twitter and wrote, "Hey guys before u let ur imagination run wild it was a birthday party. Wanted to clarify before any false news is spread. Cheers (sic)."

According to reports, it was Natasha’s father’s birthday party on Wednesday. David Dhawan, his wife Karuna Dhawan, the actor's brother Rohit and his wife Jaanvi were present at a party at Natasha's home. David Dhawan's brother Anil Dhawan was spotted with daughter Anjini Dhawan. Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and Punit Malhotra were also among guests.
Recently, there were reports suggesting the couple is planning a grand wedding in Goa. ''Apparently, Varun and Natasha are planning to get married in May this year. It will be a grand summer wedding, spanned over a week, with all the events including mehendi, sangeet and reception—and mostly in Goa at a luxury hotel or beach resort, the way his brother Rohit had got married eight years ago to Jaanvi at Park Hyatt in Goa. A few Bollywood bigwigs have been informed to keep some dates between the second and third week of May for Varun and Natasha’s wedding free, though those dates too are being a closely guarded secret. But it won’t be a secret wedding like Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. For Varun’s wedding, it will be band, baaja and baraat for Bollywood,'' said a report in Bollywood Hungama.
Varun and Natasha recently celebrated the New Year together in Switzerland. They also ran into Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan and Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli on their trip.
Recently, Natasha spoke about her relationship with Varun in a magazine interview. She said, ''Varun and I were in school together. We stayed friends until we were in our mid-20s and then, I remember, we started dating just before I moved away. It was around then that, I think, we realised we were more than just good friends.''
On the work front, Varun was last seen in Street Dancer 3D. He will also feature in Coolie No. 1 alongside Sara Ali Khan.
