Sidharth Malhotra has opened up on the storyline of his upcoming movie 'Ittefaq' and stated that the movie is going to be an homage to the genre of murder mysteries.
He even quashed the reports of the movie being a remake of superstar Rajesh Khanna's classic hit 1969 of the same name, also starring Nanda, Bindu, Madan Puri and Iftekhar.
"'Ittefaq' is a murder mystery just like the old one. I would say we are not remaking it. We are adapting it to look more engaging in today's time. 'Ittefaq' is a true homage to the murder mystery genre," Sidharth told a news agency.
