Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaya F is making her Bollywood debut with Saif Ali Khan’s home production Jawaani Jaaneman, and the debutante is getting much praise for her acting chops since the trailer has hit the internet. However, only a few know that the movie first came to the actor-producer's daughter Sara. Although she opted out of the project after getting meatier ones, the audience surely lost the chance of seeing father and daughter teaming up at the silver screen.
Saif in an interview with Pinkvilla revealed, he has earlier offered Sara, Alaya’s role when she was starting her career. The Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior actor revealed, "Kedarnath was almost shelved and Sara didn't have any other film. So with Jawaani Jaaneman around, I asked her like a good daddy if she would like to do this. She had said yes. But then, Kedarnath was back on track and Simmba also fell into place." Saif then asked her to opt out of the project and concentrate on the ones he got through to become his father’s backing which she agreed to and then came in Alaya. He also revealed that they have been offered five films together but have given a nod to none.
Jawaani Jaaneman from its trailer appears to be a slice-of-life movie where a pregnant teenage girl is trying to bring together her parents who abandoned her early in life.
Saif bares about his seperation from Amrita Singh in his 20s
Talking about his separation from Amrita at a young age, Saif said, “It's the worst thing in the world. It's something that I still feel I wish it could be different. I don't think I will really be okay with it ever. There are certain things that can't be and I try and make peace with them and myself by saying that I was 20 and quite young. So much changes. You like to think of parents together but they are individual units too. So everyone can be okay with a modern relationship also."
Further talking about how children feel when their parents get separated, he said, "No child should be deprived of a warm home. You have to make the most of whatever situation you are in. Life is beautiful and nobody can be sitting around, complaining too much. Sometimes, having two parents together might not be the best thing for anyone. A nice stable home is a wonderful environment and that's what you would like to share with your kids."
Saif also bared about Ibrahim and the kind of prep talks he gives him. Saif shared Ibrahim is better than him in academics and wants to see him studying in a good university.
Jaawani Jaaneman arrives two weeks before Aaj Kal and also bring back Saif and Tabu together after 20 years.
