'Jab Harry Met Sejal' which is happened to be one of the much awaited movies of the year, has hit the screens this Friday and has managed to earn a decent amount of Rs 15.25 crore on the first day of its release. In spite of a good start, the movie has failed to rule the box office through out the weekend and hence has already started struggling.
Though the Shah Rukh-Anushka-starrer was expected to garner a whooping amount of Rs 60 crore at the weekend, it has ended up by collecting a moderate amount of Rs 45.75 crore in three days of release.
Famous biz analyst Taran Adarsh took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the weekend collection of the movie. Describing the venture as a 'Disappointment', Taran wrote, "#JabHarryMetSejal has emerged a DISAPPOINTMENT... Barring few metros, the biz ranged from ordinary to dull... Jump in biz was missing. #JHMS"

Earlier, Indian Express quoted Bollywood trade analyst Girish Johar, "The expectations are quite high. I am expecting over Rs 16 to 17 crores on the opening day. I am expecting around Rs 60 crore or above over the weekend."
Notably, JHMS has received mixed reviews from the audience so far. 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' happens to be King Khan's first collaboration with renowned director Imtiaz Ali.
Also starring Evelyn Sharma and Sayani Gupta in keyroles, the story revoles around a Gujarati girl and a Punjabi tour guide who are in a quest for a lost ring enroute the locales of Europe.

Interestingly, Anushka has shared the screen space with SRK for the third time in the flick. Their previous movies 'Rab Ne Bna Di Jodi' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' made a good business at the box office and quite naturally JHMS was expected to maintain the legacy.
On the work front, while Shah Rukh is busy shooting his forthcoming venture 'Gustakhiyan', Anushka will be next seen in her upcoming Hindi thriller movie 'Pari'.
Also starring famous Tollywood actor Parambrata Chatterjee in the lead, the movie is slated to relesae on February 9, 2017.
