After impressing the audience with films like Gully Boy, Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Singh is all set to play a Gujarati man in his upcoming film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The humorous entertainer set in Gujarat is directed by debutant Divyaang Thakkar and stars Ranveer as the titular character.
Ranveer Singh shared his first look on his social media accounts and captioned it as, "JAYESHBHAI hain ekdum JORDAAR! #JayeshbhaiJordaar #ManeeshSharma #DivyangThakkar @yrf.''

The poster features him in an orange polo-neck printed T-shirt, black jeans and wavy hair. The actor is also seen sporting a moustache in this film. By the looks of the poster, it is clear that the actor has lost a visible amount of weight for the film.
Talking about his character in the film, Ranveer said, "As Charlie Chaplin once said, 'To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!' Jayeshbhai is an unlikely hero - an ordinary man, who ends up doing something extraordinary when he's hurled into a threatening situation. Jayeshbhai is sensitive and compassionate. He believes in equal rights between men and women in a society that is deeply rooted in patriarchal ideals, practices and doctrines."
He added, "Jayeshbhai presented an exciting challenge - to deconstruct myself in order to transform into a kind of character I’ve never inhabited before."
Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be produced by Maneesh Sharma, who directed Ranveer in his debut film "Band Baaja Baraat". PTI
