Veteran actor Jeetendra has landed in a big trouble after the Shimla police have filed an FIR against him in an allegest sexual assault case.

According to the media reports, Jeetendra's cousin had filed a complaint alleging that the veteran actor had assaulted her in Shimla 47 year ago.

“An FIR under section 354 IPC has been registered at Chotta Shimla police station. After her email, we got in touch with the complainant, who later had also sent us a written complaint to support her version,” Shimla’s Superintendent of Police Umapati Jamwal was quoted as saying.

He further asserted that the case will be investigated as per old provisions of the section 354 IPC given the time when the alleged incident took place.

It was reported that the victim has alleged that Jeetendra had called her from Delhi to Shimla during a shooting of a film. She further added that the actor came into her hotel room in an inebriated state and allegedly molested her.

Reportedly, the victim will record her statement before a magistrate. Besides, she will also have to provide an evidence of her stay in the hotel.

On the hand, Jeetendra's lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee has vehemently rubbished all the allegations and terms them as 'baseless and ridiculous'.

Siddiquee even released a statement saying, “...Such baseless, ridiculous and fabricated claims cannot be entertained by any court of law or the law enforcement agencies after a span of almost 50 years. The Statute has provided a justice delivery system through the Courts, and the Limitation Act 1963 was specifically enacted to ensure that all genuine complaints are made within a maximum time limit of three years, so that a proper investigation is carried out and timely justice is delivered.”
