Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his first release of the year 'Jolly LLB 2' and the actor is quite excited about it.
But amidst all the promotions, Akshay being a true gentleman that he is has expressed gratefulness towards Arshad Warsi, who was the lead actor in the first instalment of 'Jolly LLB'.
"I am very grateful to Arshad to show me the way of doing this film. It is not about commercial or non-commercial. I just followed Arshad’s path. On the contrary, I hope that this film has the kind of success the first one saw. Arshad made the first film a success and thereby a big film and now the pressure is on me. When a star does a character-oriented or an author-backed role there is definitely some kind of pressure", Akshay told a leading daily.
On the other hand, Arshad too is seen promoting 'Jolly LLB 2'.
Interestingly, Arshad's support for the movie bagged a lot of attention given that the actor had earlier stated that he was replaced by a 'bigger movie star' as the studio wanted it that way.
However, this time, the 'Goal' actor was contradicting his statement and admitted that he is quite excited about this sequel.
"Don't put salt on my wounds! Jokes apart, I am very happy for Akshay. I am sure he and the team have done a great job. He and I keep talking about it. In fact, I am even promoting the film in my own way. I am yet to watch it but I am really excited about its release," Arshad was quoted as saying.
Talking about the movie, Akki will be seen playing the role of a lawyer in 'Jolly LLB 2', which also stars, Annu Kapoor, Siddharth Shukla and Huma Qureshi.
Helmed by Subhash Kapoor, 'Jolly LLB 2' is slated to release on February 10.
