Judgementall Hai Kya’s writer Kanika Dhillon has confirmed the news of her separation from director Prakash Kovelamudi, who directed the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer. As per a report in Spotboye, Kanika and Prakash's marriage got over two years ago, even before they started shooting for Ekta Kapoor's production venture Judgementall Hai Kya.
The former couple said in a joint statement, "Yes, we did split but not during Judgementall Hai Kya. It happened 2 years back, before the cameras rolled on the film.''
Prakash added that the distance between them was the reason behind the split. ''We were settled in Hyderabad, as my social circle is there, but Kanika shifted to Mumbai, around 2 years back,'' he was interrupted by Kanika who said, “That’s really not important, what matters is that we are still friends and the decision is amicable.''

When asked if they will work together in the future, the Judgementall Hai Kya director said, "Of course, why not! We have pulled this (Judgementall Hai Kya) off together successfully and had a great time working together. We are surely open to collaborate on more projects."
Kanika Dhillon has worked as a screenwriter in films such as Manmarziyaan and Kedarnath in 2018. She also wrote the script of Ra.One in 2011, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles.
