'Judwaa 2': David Dhawan lauds Salman Khan for being 'natkhat', says 'he works from heart'

New Delhi:

Filmmaker David Dhawan has been all praise for Salman Khan, with whom he has collaborated after a decade in his upcoming directorial Judwaa 2, and called the superstar a 'natkhat' actor.

Lauding Khan's acting skills, Dhawan said that Salman works from heart and that he does a great job. The director further asserted that it was superb working with Salman after a long time in Judwaa 2.

Salman and David had first worked together in 1997 release Judwaa, which was Dhawan's directorial debut. While the actor-director duo gave several hits, they had last teamed up for 2007 release Partner.

Interestingly, Judwaa 2 happens to be the sequel of Salman's Judwaa and will feature Varun Dwana in double role with Khan in a cameo.

Talking about his experience of working with Sultan actor after so long, David stated, "Salman is a seasoned actor... When he gives a shot, you would feel that he is not interested but he is the most interested actor on sets. He did a good job. He works from heart, there is 'thehrav' in his performance. We got that from him. It was my first film with Salman and it was superb working with him. He was 'natkat' and he still is."

David, who is returning to direction after four years, is happy to have worked on both the films.

"It is great that I am making this film after a gap of 20 years with my son. I was not writing a new script (with Judwaa 2). People loved some eight to ten scenes in the original film and we have got some of it in this film as well.

"It is a today's film, the look and all is different. We have got two popular songs back - 'Chalti Hai Kya Nau Se Bara' and 'Ounchi Hai Building'."

According to the filmmaker, it is easy to shoot a double role film provided the actor knows both the roles well.

"The concept of mistaken identity is there since (William) Shakespeare's time. It was done in films like 'Golmaal' and others. Without mistaken identity, you can't make double role films."

Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles, "Judwaa 2" is set to release on September 29.
