Varun Dhawan, who is preparing for his upcoming movie 'Judwaa 2', has revealed that before beginning for the movie superstar Salman Khan came up with a special advice for the young actor.
The 'Dilwale' actor stated that Khan has advised him not to be over smart while shooting with his father David Dhawan.
"The only advice Salman Khan has given me for 'Judwaa 2' is that, 'listen to your dad (director David Dhawan) and don't be over smart'," Varun told PTI.
'Judwaa 2' happens to be the much-touted sequel of Salman Khan's 1997 release 'Judwaa' which was helmed by David Dhawan.
Talking about the same, Varun recalled that he had met Khan for the first time only after the screening of 'Judwaa'.
"I just remember watching 'Judwaa' in theatre during a special screening and meeting Salman Khan for the first time. I don't remember much as I was small," Varun added.
Interestingly, Varun will be seen playing a double role and will portray the 'new-age tapori' in the movie.
"It is sad that we don't make films on taporis anymore. There will be a big change in the character of Raja in the sequel. But I would not like to speak much about it. It is far different from what Salman did in the first film," Varun says.
While Varun is quite excited about the movie, the makers are yet to zero in the female leads for 'Judwaa 2'.
In fact there are reports that except actress Rambha, all lead actors of the original comic caper will be seen in cameo in the sequel.
"I cannot say anything about it right now because I want people to be surprised, especially by Salman Khan's character in the film ('Judwaa 2')," he says.
Currently, Varun Dhawan is busy promoting his upcoming movie 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' opposite Alia Bhatt.
Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is the sequel to the 2014 release 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', featuring the same pair.
'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' will hit the screens on March 10.
