Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'kaabil' which is happened to be one of the initial releases of the year, has become the first ever Bollywood movie to be remade officially in Hollywood.
Latest media report suggests that the Rakesh Roshan film has been approached by 20th Century Fox for purchasing the remake rights of the flick.
Being asked about the same, 'Kaabil' director Sanjay Gupta has said that "It's true that Fox, through Tomas Jegeus has approached Hrithik. Even though the developments are too premature to talk about at this moment, it is an honour for the team. What is also exciting is that Kaabil has been declared the best film of (the first half of) 2017 via an online poll. So, it’s a double win for us."
"The screenplay was hard-hitting, and the drama, gripping. It would make for a wonderful Hollywood adaptation, given that it has all the necessary emotions. It struck gold at the box-office because it was about a visually-impaired lover seeking revenge," Rakesh Roshan said about the latest development.

The Yami Gautam-starrer which has received a moderate kind of reviews in the box office is a tale of visually challenged man, out to avenge the rape of his wife. The movie has managed a decent box office collection in spite of facing a tough competition by Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Raees'.
On the workfront, Hrithik Roshan who is at present busy shooting his upcoming venture, 'Krrish 4', has also been confirmed to portray the character of lord Shiva in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next Adaption of 'Immortals of Meluha'.
