Rajinikanth’s Kabali has hit the theatres with a bang. The Tamil superstar exploded across the mega screens in his newest avatar, in over 300 theatres at 4 am on Friday morning. Several companies in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared holidays on July 22, the day ‘thalaiva’s’ Kabali is releasing.
In the wee hours of Friday, the silent Chennai night burst out with Rajini fans dancing with drums. It was chaos on the Chennai roads as firecrackers were burst and huge posters were erected.
Selfies were taken with giant cutouts, and fans screamed for hours together just to keep the excitement going. The police were having a tough time controlling the crowd as many were just high on Thalaivar.
Following huge demand for the special shows, the distributors of the film, have made special arrangements for screening of shows, as early as four o'clock in the morning in at least 15 to 20 theatres across the city.
Not only in India but in US two hours all it took for the tickets to be sold out in 400 theatres. In Malaysia and Singapore special screening was done for the Thalaiva.
The movie was leaked online but Rajni fans stormed to theatres to watch their superstar.
