After unveiling the first looks of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur, the makers of Kalank shared Madhuri Dixit’s look from the much-anticipated film of the year. In the film, Madhuri plays Bahar Begum and looks no less impressive in her ‘nawaabi’ avatar in the first poster. Her look certainly reminds us of her Devdas days where she played the role of beautiful Chandramukhi.

Madhuri shared the look on her Instagram account and wrote, "It was my honour to play such an enchanting character. Guys, here’s Bahaar Begum! #WomenOfKalank #Kalank @duttsanjay @adityaroykapur @varundvn @aliaabhatt @aslisona @abhivarman @ipritamofficial @karanjohar #SajidNadiadwala @apoorva1972 @foxstarhindi @dharmamovies @nadiadwalagrandson."

Karan Johar too shared the poster on his Twitter account and wrote, ‘’ Enchanting, ethereal & timeless. The true ‘Begum’ of hearts, Bahaar! @MadhuriDixit #WomenOfKalank #Kalank.’’

Speaking of her role in the film, Madhuri in an interview with DNA, had earlier stated that her role in Kalank is drastically different from the roles that she has done in the past. "When people watch the movie, they will realise how different it is from what I have done in my other films like Devdas, where I played Chandramukhi. The role that I have here is poles apart from that," she told DNA.

In this much-anticipated period drama, Varun Dhawan plays Zafar, while Alia plays the innocent Roop and Aditya Roy Kapur plays Dev with Sonakshi playing Satya. Sanjay Dutt plays Balraj in the movie. Kalank, written and directed by Abhishek Varman, is a joint production venture between Dharma Productions, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. The film will hit the screens on April 19.
