Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is threatened by a local outfit in Odisha, saying that they will throw ink at him and also even show black flag, if he visits the city of Bhubaneswar next week. The 53-year old actor is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar for 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup which will commence from November 28.
The chief of the outfit, Hemant Rath has demanded an apology from the Chak De India star for allegedly insulting Odisha and the sentiments of the people in his film Ashoka. The outfit even held a rally and burnt the actor’s effigy on November 11.
The local outfit, who calls itself as ‘Kalinga Sena’ has also filed a complaint few days back for allegedly dishonouring by wrongly portraying the Kalinga War in the movie.

The Kalinga War was fought in 265 BC in which King Ashoka defeated the Kalinga’s king and the kingdom was occupied by the Mauryan empire. This war is also said to be the bloodiest battles in history.
Nihar Pani, general secretary of Kalinga Sena in a press statement said, "We have made preparation to throw ink on the actor's face and show him black flag at any place from the airport to the stadium. Our activists will remain present all along the road where Khan is likely to visit’’.
The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik has invited Shah Rukh Khan for the inauguration of the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium on November 27.

On work front, Shah Rukh Khan is busy promoting his upcoming dwarf flick and Aanand L Rai’s directorial venture Zero. The movie also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and the film slated to release on December 21.
