Kangana Ranaut Reveals Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Used To Get Warnings To Not Work With Her

New Delhi:

Kangana Ranaut controversial statements, creative differences with directors had made much noise during the release of her film Simran and Manikarnika. While Hansal Mehta complained of maximum interference, Manikarnika co-director Krish accused the actress of not giving him ‘due credit’s. Almost anyone and everyone in the industry now think twice before brushing off with the ‘queen’ actress.

Panga director Ashwiny Tiwari who is just three films old however has a completely different take on working with her leading lady. The filmmaker shares a special bond with the 32 year old actress and even shared a heartfelt note on commencing shoot.

So when Kangana was asked how she was so satisfied with her new director, she said, "When an actor goes to a film set, the first and foremost thing he or she expects is that their director has the maximum clarity about the project and should shine the most and deliver the film of the year. This is every actor's dream. But when the director himself opts out of the movie, leaving his actor orphan, then I'm definitely not somebody who will run away from the battleground. So, I take charge. Trust me, no actor would want to go to the set and know that their director is lacking. But Ashwiny is so competent and organised. It's amazing to be working with directors who give you the film that they promised."

Kangana was speaking at the trailer launch of Panga, in which she plays Jaya, a mother to a young son, who makes a shining comeback as national-level kabaddi player.

Kangana revealed that Ashwiny would get calls warning her to not work with the actress, who has been alleged of undermining her directors and taking over their film. On the contrary Kangana revealed Ashwiny would come and hug her, kiss her and make her feel as comfortable as possible. “I'm used to people being very threatened by me or my presence. I'm not used to directors kissing and hugging me. So, it was nice” added the actress.

Its been a long journey. A nostalgic, memorable one of bringing a character alive for a dream. A story I wanted to say to the world. There were moments of oneness. Of emotional breakdown and laughters of a different kind. The ones between people who trust and are transparent with each other. Of being non judgemental and going with a flow of understanding that we are working towards an inner desire to make good cinema. Thank-you ‘K’ for bringing out the best of you. For shining through all odds and even. For being a foodie, chatterbox friend. It’s a wrap for Kangana and I am going to miss watching her on set lighting up every scene. The story of love and oneness will continue. #panga #pangastories #24jan2020

Earlier there were reports Ashwiny who has earlier directed Swara Bhaskar in Nil Battey Sannata and Kriti Sanon in Bareilly Ki Barfi has made Kangana sign a ‘no-interference’ clause before starting the shoot of Panga but the director later refuted such rumours.

Talking about her experience working with Kangana, Ashwiny said, "What happens with Kangana is that so many people keep judging her-Some even think, 'Maybe, she sets the set on fire,' but trust me, she does nothing of the sort. I had to tell this to everyone very openly as a director because I know people will keep telling her, 'you do this, you do that.' Nobody speaks good about her. So, I have to be the one who has to pioneer this whole thing and tell the good things about her."
