Kangana Ranaut has been taking potshots at Alia Bhatt for a while now and it's not just her but even boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor has not been spared by the Queen actress’ harsh remarks. Recently, Kangana called Alia’s performance in Gully Boy mediocre.Â
When an interviewer compared Alia's performance in Gully Boy to Kangana's Manikarnika to which the actress replied, "I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy Performance ...same snappy muh phat girl... Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media has taken filmy kids love too far...stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised."Â
Now, her Highway co-star Randeep Hooda has extended his support to Alia. In a cryptic tweet, the actor said he is glad that the 26-year-old actress is "not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work".

Within an hour of posting the tweet, Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel lashed out at Randeep Hooda for extending support to Alia. In her tweets, Rangoli accused Randeep Hooda of being Karan Johar's favourite and tagged him as a "failure".
