Hindustan Ki Kasam (1973)

Hindustan ki Kasam is A 1973 war movie based on Operation Cactus Lilly in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 directed by Chetan Anand, who has previously made the popular film Haqeeqat on the Sino-Indian war. Aakraman (1975) Produced by Jagdish Kumar and directed by J. Om Prakash, ‘Aakraman’ was based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971 which featured Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Farida Jalal, Sujit Kumar, Asrani, Keshto Mukherjee, Mumtaz Shanti and Rajesh Khanna. The film revolved around two army soldiers (Sanjeev Kumar and Rakesh Roshan) who fall in love with the same girl (Rekha) but a call of duty makes them go to war. Director J. Om Prakash had made this film with a lot of passion and dedication but came a cropper at the box-office. However, the songs became quite popular.

Border (1997)

Written and directed by J.P Dutta was the most popular Bollywood war film based on the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.The film is an adaptation from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Dhoop (2003)

Directed by Ashwini Chaudhary, based on the battle of Tiger Hill as part of the Kargil War.The film stars Om Puri and Revathi and is based on Captain Anuj Nayyar, MVC and his family.The movie is based on the events surrounding the death of Capt Anuj Nayyar, MVC OF 17 Jat regiment of the Indian Army, who was martyred in operations against Pakistani Army regular soldiers, in the tiger hill as part of the Kargil war.

LOC Kargil (2003)

It is based on the Kargil war fought between India and Pakistan, produced and directed by J.P.Dutta. The film is considered the longest running time Bollywood film ever to hit the screens which had probably the biggest ever star cast to date.

Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo (2004)

Director Anil Sharma's war film had a big cast which included Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Bobby deal.The film starts with the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war where Amitabh Bachchan leads an army of soldiers during which he loses his son (Bobby Deol). The story is cut to current times where the proxy war with Pakistan continues.
