Kartik Aaryan today unveiled the first look posters of his upcoming film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on social media. The actor is all set to step into Akshay's shoes. Interestingly, the film is all set to lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor's Shamshera and SS Rajamouli's RRR. YRF's Shamshera also starring Sanjay Dutt is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 30, 2020.
RRR is SS Rajamouli's next directorial after Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film which stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and Alia Bhatt is slated to release on the same day as Shamshera. The film will be set in the early 1900s and will have the actors playing roles inspired by characters of the rebellious personalities Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem.
Interestingly, Alia's film will be clashing with beau Ranbir's Shamshera. Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to the 2007 movie, which had starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles. The horror-comedy had also featured Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Ameesha Patel among other actors. Talking about his collaboration with Bhushan Kumar for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik told Mumbai Mirror, "I'm looking forward to collaborating with Bhushanji again. Bhool Bhulaiyaa has always been one of my favourite comedic supernatural thriller film and now being part of BB2 makes me happy, especially because I've been a big fan of Akshay Kumar sir and it's a great responsibility to take his franchise forward. It's a hilarious script and Anees sir has taken it to another level. I'm also looking forward to working with Murad bhai."
With Kartik playing Akshay Kumar's role, fans are waiting to know who will play Manjulika. It is reported that Ananya Pandey, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are considered for the role. However, nothing has been confirmed on the same.Â
