Katrina Kaif’s breakup with Ranbir Kapoor two years ago made headlines and sent shock-waves throughout the B-town. The Tiger Zinda Hai actor, however, now has more to say about her on-and-off relationship of six years with Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with DNA India last year, the actor had admitted that she underwent an ‘extremely rough’ time for the movie Jagga Jasoos where she had last starred alongside her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor. She had stated, “The last year-and-a-half has been, at many times, extremely rough and trying for me. I think I’m still in the transition period till I find myself and learn a lot more about myself. I am happy in this phase. I’m working hard and understanding the joys of a film set. But I’m still in a phase where there’s a lot of uncertainty.”
The tigress, however, has seemed to pass the rough patch of her life. The actor was seen opening up to a magazine about her break-up, Katrina said, "Oftentimes, throughout my career there's been such prominent talk about the friendships or relationships I've had in my life, so that when you speak or when you're spoken about in the media it's in the context of another person and with another person."

She further added, "It's probably one of the first times in my life where I really had only myself to focus on. And when you focus on yourself, often, the first thing you realise is that you don't really know yourself. It's like a period of not knowing, a period of being uncomfortable because you're seeing yourself in your raw form without embellishments and then accepting that you don't really know who you are."
Katrina also went on to say that she is grateful for the rough phase which she now sees it as a blessing in disguise, "I now see it as a blessing because I was able to recognise my patterns, thought processes and things that I had been so sure of my whole life. I could see them from a whole different perspective."

Katrina Kaif was last seen in the Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer, Thugs of Hindostan. As of now, she is busy with her promotions for her Salman Khan movie, Bharat, which is scheduled to release next year.
