Kedarnath starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan, soon to be released, has a powerful love story to tell and director Abhishek Kapoor share his inspiration behind the making of the upcoming film, saying the film is not an imitation of a western film.
"The inspiration is the real location’s imagery. It has to be true to its own geography. We’re not trying to imitate a western film, I’m making an Indian movie," Abhishek says in a release.
Overwhelmed by the topography of the place, the director talks about recreating it from scracth.

"When you go to Kedarnath and study about the floods and what happened, you realise that the topography of it is so mammoth. And it’s a real event. So, you study the history and follow what happened, in as much detail as you can and recreate it from scratch," Abhishek said.
Apart from the inspiring story of the picturesque Uttarakhand, the trailer of Kedarnath which was released recently reveal the incredible chemistry between Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. The film highlights how love conquers all things. The love story of a Pithoo and a pilgrim faces the wrath of the nature as the holy place drowns in flood.
The makers say that Kedarnath is an eternal love story set in the backdrop of the flash floods that wrecked the temple town in June of 2013. It is a potent combination of love and religion, passion and spirituality. The floods that took the lives of over a hundred thousand people is a powerful backdrop for this epic love story.
