Kriti Sanon opens up on 'Raabta' failure, calls it a 'great experience'

Kriti Sanon's last release 'Raabta' opposite Sushant Singh Rajput had failed terribly at the box office. However, the actress asserted that the movie was a great learning experience for her.

The Dinesh Vijan directorial was a reincarnation drama which failed to connect with the audience.

Talking about its failure, Kriti said, "Sometimes when you try to do something different, it may or may not resonate with the audience. But what matters is whether you gave your 100 per cent or not."

She further asseted that while 'Raabta' was a unique attempt it helped her change as an actor.

"Raabta was a great experience and I learnt a lot while working on this film. I saw myself change as an actor. We did try 30 minutes of another world and it was a unique attempt. But most of the audience didnt resonate with it and thats alright. We should just move on," Kriti told PTI on the sidelines of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.

The "Dilwale" actress said she is fine with any kind of appreciation but the opinion of the audience matters the most to her.

"I think any form of appreciation makes you feel happy. We all work hard and give our best, so whether we get awards or love of the audience, it is all overwhelming. For me, the audiences appreciating the film is more important as we eventually work to entertain them," she said.

While Kriti is up to set the stage on fire with her performance in IIFA 2017, she will be seen next in Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming movie 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', which also stars Rajkummar Rao.

Directed by Nil Battey Sannata fame director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the romantic comedy will hit the screens on August 18.
