The Kapil Sharma Show has long been a platform where celebs bare about their public encounters, gossips that do rounds in media and how they react to them. The actor also take light-hearted leg pulling and criticism by their stride.
So when Kriti Sanon along with her Arjun Patiala co-star Diljit Dosanjh appeared on the show to promote their movie Arjun Patiala, the the actress revealed an instance in which her celebrity status turned into an embarrassment for her parents when they went shopping in a store.
Kriti's mother Geeta, who was also present on the show, revealed that once they had gone for shopping to a shop that offered 50% discount on its items. However, soon onlookers and other fellow customers present at the store recognised them and they began chattering about how they were buying outfits from a 50% sale store.
"At times we feel it's better if sometimes people don't recognize us at certain places," Kriti Sanon's mother said on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Her mother said that they had even asked Kriti to leave the shop so that they can roam around without pulling people's attention like a magnet.
Celebs have always been crowd pullers at public gatherings and incidents of embarrassment are not new. Recently Swara Bhaskar faced trolls when a man on the pretext of getting a selfie and sneakily shoot a video with a voice over of 'Modi Ji Hi Aayenge' surfaced on internet and went viral. Earlier Kajol has spoken elaborately about how celebs has to constantly stay under the pressure of being dressed par perfection when in public.
This instance faced by Kriti bring back the age old debate of are celebs being robbed of their privacy and right to live like regular people?
