Navjot Singh Sidhu's comment on Pulwama terrorist attack wasn't received well by many. The raged audience flooded social media platforms with posts demanding the removal of Sidhu and Kapil from the Kapil Sharma Show. Kapil Sharma in an event opined that banning someone from a show will not solve any issue.
Soon the report of Archana Puran Singh replacing Navjot Singh Sidhu started doing the rounds. However, both Archana and Sidhu denied it at separate junctures.
And now Krushna Abhishek who also stars in The Kapil Sharma Show has broken his silence on the whole controversy surrounding Sidhu's remarks and the report of Archana Puran Singh replacing Navjot Singh Sidhu.
In an interview with DNA, Krushna said, "I don't know what's going on but currently the country's atmosphere is not right. Everyone is mourning. We have already shot a few episodes with Archana Puran Singh. But, Archana has told some media house that she hasn't yet signed the full contract. I would only be able to comment after having a word with the channel."
However, he chose to stay mum when asked about the demands for "Boycott Kapil Sharma" trend after he defended Navjot Singh Sidhu. Krushna said, "I don't know what Kapil has said and what statement he has given. I don't even have any knowledge about Kapil's boycott on Twitter."
And when asked about Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and AICWA (All Indian Cine Workers) decision to ban Pakistani artists Krushna said, "It's good. Ashoke Pandit and team have made the right decision. If Salman Khan has decided to drop Atif Aslam from his film then I fully support his stand."
Meanwhile, FWICE has asked Sony Entertainment Television to ban Sidhu from The Kapil Sharma Show until he apologises to the nation and martyrs of the Pulwama terrorist attack for his remarks.
