Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Lucknow Central’ along with Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Simran’ have been released this week at the box-office. Both the flicks have received mixed reviews from the critics as well as from the audience.
‘Lucknow Central’ is released on over 800 screens and has churned Rs 2.04 crore on its release date.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the box-office collection of the first day.

It is being speculated that the flick will most likely earn around Rs 8 crore on Sunday and around Rs 20 crore on the first weekend.
Directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Nikhil Advani, ‘Lucknow Central’ revolves around a character named Kishan Mohan Girhotra played by Farhan Akhtar, who is framed in a murder case. Later, he forms a band in the Lucknow Central Jail and plans to escape.
The movie also features Diana Penty playing the role of a diligent NGO worker.
On the other hand, Directed by Hansal Mehta, Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Simran’ earned a bit more as compared to ‘Lucknow Central’ as it minted around Rs 2.5 crore.
