Madhuri Dixit is juggling multiple roles at a time with ease. The 51-year-old actress who recently turned producer with Netflix Flim '15th August' will soon be seen as Begum Bahar in Karan Johar's Kalank and now the actress revealed she will soon treat her fans with her voice in a singles album.
As reported by Midday, Madhuri revealed, "This is the first time I am exploring singing on a professional level. It has been a while since we were ready with the album. However, due to other commitments, we did not get the time to shoot for the videos. It is important to have a video to go with the song. We will release the first single this year."Â
However, this is not the first time Madhuri will sing a song. The dancing queen has earlier lent her voice for her movie Gulaab Gang in Rangi Saari Gulaabi and for a recital before the song Kaahe Chhed Mohe from Shah Rukh Khan starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas.
Speaking of her role in the Kalank, Madhuri in an interview earlier stated that her role in Kalank is drastically different from the roles that she has done in the past even that of Chandramukhi in Devdas.
In this much-anticipated period drama, Varun Dhawan plays Zafar, while Alia plays the innocent Roop and Aditya Roy Kapur plays Dev with Sonakshi playing Satya. Sanjay Dutt plays Balraj in the movie. Kalank, written and directed by Abhishek Varman, is a joint production venture between Dharma Productions, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. The film will hit the screens on April 17.
