Director Anubhav Singh has carved a niche for himself by making mainstream movies on socially relevant but taboo topics. His recent outing Thappad and take on domestic violence was a subject of several debates. Recently Sinha grabbed headlines after he used abusive language against a film business analyst over Thappad BO report. Now actor Manoj Bajpayee made sensational claims in jest about his good friend and filmmaker.
Manoj Bajpayee claimed that the filmmaker drinks an expensive alcoholic beverage and would often tease him asking the price of his drink and if he knows the difference between ‘Scotch’ and ‘whiskey’. This is during the time Bajpayee has passed out of college as an engineering graduate and was assisting the filmmaker in a play.
The ‘Aligarh’ actor also mentioned that this is how Sinha is. He claimed that he would keep the pricey ‘scotch’ for himself and serve ‘Old Monk’ rum to his friends, no matter how social he is on Twitter!
The national award winning actor then recalled it was Sinha who motivated and called him to Mumbai to try his luck in films and event went on to sponsor his flight tickets when he found out that it was not something he could afford back then.
On the professional front, Bajpayee will soon return with Amazon Prime series The Family Man 2 and family entertainer, ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ alongside Fatima Sana Shaikhand Diljit Dosanjh.
