#MeToo: Junior artiste alleges sexual harassment on the sets of Housefull 4

There seems to be no end to troubles for Housefull 4. A female junior artiste was allegedly molested by a man on the sets of the film at Chitrakoot Studio in Mumbai late on Thursday night. The junior artiste alleged that the accused identified as Pawan Shetty and Sagar were among six men who came on the sets and all of a sudden started manhandling another junior artist and tried to take her away forcefully. When she tried to stop them, the men threatened both of them.

Shetty also pushed and touched her private parts, alleged the victim. A molestation case was filed and an FIR registered, according to news nation ANI.

Housefull 4 has been embroiled in controversy ever since the #MeToo movement surfaced after Tanushree Dutta accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual molestation. Owing to this allegation, Nana departed from the fourth instalment of the Housefull franchise. Following which, allegations against Sajid Khan by three women also surfaced which resulted in him stepping down from being the film’s director as well. Sajid was replaced by Farhad Samji, director of Housefull 3, who will now direct the fourth movie from the Housefull franchise.

According to report, the makers of the film are looking at Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor or even Rana Daggubati as potential replacements for Nana Patekar. The Sajid Nadiadwala produced film will feature Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Kriti Sanon in prominent roles. Housefull 4 is slated to hit screens on October 26, 2019.
